Springtime yoghurt bark

Well hello! It’s been a while hasn’t it? Time just seems to go by very quickly but hope you’ve been following along on Instagram and seeing all our food ideas on a day to day. I’m back today with a little simple snack and ‘snack activity’! Easter holidays are almost upon us so this is a great way to get kids in the kitchen and keep them entertained for a few moments at least.

Berry Oaty Breakfast Pots

If you're a regular reader, you will know we enjoy breakfast here at Clean Little Tummies. This week, I'm back with another simple idea to help mix up your breakfast menu. These tasty little pots of goodness come together quickly in the morning, and there's only one bit of baking involved.

Sweet Potato & Pea Fritters with a yoghurt dip

We're heading into Spring and Summer now, so it is time to mix up the recipes and look for some lighter options for lunches. We've made vegetable fritters before and love including them in lunch boxes, but these Sweet Potato and Pea Fritters are oven baked to make them healthier and easier to prepare. They're colourful and nutritious and make a great lunch or snack dinner on the go.

3-Ingredient Clean Little Easter Eggs

Easter is certainly upon us! Everywhere I look I see eggs, bunnies, chicks and soooo (too?) much enticing chocolate. Of course we will be treating ourselves to some chocolate this Easter, but to even things up I have crafted a little frozen Easter treat made from just three ingredients - banana, yoghurt and berries - which is healthier and more nutritious that a chocolate Easter egg, but still feels a little indulgent.

Loaded Sweet Potato Nachos

Do you ever just want an easy-sharing type of lunch, dinner or snack? Something you can nibble on together whilst chilling in front of a film? (Not that I let my children eat on the sofa, of course, because it is new- hello uptight parents!) But does the thought of laying out a calorie-dense bowl of junk give you a case of the mother (or father) guilts?

Bircher Museli Clean Little Tummies Style!

I’m always trying to mix it up at breakfast time to expose the Clean Little Tummies to different flavours. This week, I've added Bircher Museli to our breakfast menu. This recipe is an oldie but a goodie, and always a hit with the littleies, so I thought I'd share it with you. It uses simple store cupboard ingredients, mixed in with some fridge ingredient staples, which make it easy to make. There’s also the option of adding some lovely additions - like nuts, seeds or berries- to mix up the flavours and add extra nutrition. My favourite thing about Bircher Muesli is if you make up a big batch on a Sunday evening it can last up to three or four days in the fridge - so you've got breakfast sorted for the best part of the week before the week has even started! Win!

Summer Sunshiney Smoothies

We are in the middle of renovations this week so things have been busy here in the Clean Little Tummies household. And just as I felt like everything was falling apart, and it was all storms-and-darkness, pineapples appeared at our local market! Such a sunshiney, tropical fruit, and we've had the sunshine to match recently. This led me to think about some tropical flavoured smoothies and - in between walls being knocked down- I've managed to rustle up a little favourite of ours.
